St. Martin’s Episcopal School Playground Dedication

Members of the St. Martin’s community joined to honor a special Saint. Lower School students and teachers, former faculty, parents, and alumni gathered to dedicate the new Lower School playground to Miss Janet.

Janet Russo passed away on November 11, 2016 after a seven month-battle with cancer.  Miss Janet was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and educator who taught at St. Martin's for more than 40 years. She was known to all as Miss Janet and was the beloved “Pocket Lady." Still greatly missed, she is remembered with love by many.

Numerous members of the St. Martin’s community worked together to renovate the space. A portion of the proceeds from the 2017 Spring Gala provided the foundational gift. The Palmisano family was instrumental in helping with the necessary site work and construction. The Palmisanos and several other StM Lower School families gave generously to the project. Chase Mullin and Mullin Landscape Associates assisted with the landscaping.
